The most popular hiking trail in the Sandia Mountains. The trail ends at the peak house near the Sandia Peak Tram upper terminal. It contains spectacular views, towers of granite, and ponderosa/aspen/blue spruce forests. You can take the trail up and down for a total of 13+ miles or hike one way and ride the tram down. It's a challenging hike as you are starting at 6,000 feet and ending around 10,200 feet so you must be acclimated to the altitude and bring plenty of water.
