Our go to place for a quick meal or a cocktail. The Mojitos and Margaritas are great. The fish tacos are really good with Tilapia and are Stephanie's favorite. If the place is full just wait outside, a very informal lines forms, just check with anyone else in line to see how long it might take. It rarely takes long.

I think it's great, but I am not pizza guru. Great to sit outside and have a pitcher of beer and watch life go by.

The best donuts ever! 2 locations about equally distant. One on the way to downtown and one on the way to Decatur. Do not miss this place if you like donuts. 1 is plenty, impossible to only pick one! When they run out it's over. By 3 they are usually gone. Opens 7 am weekdays, 8 on the weekends.

Decatur
Your can get there on Marta, if solo, but only a couple of miles away for an Uber. So many good places to try. These are as good as anywhere in the world I have been.

This is a great urban hike/bike location. 3.5 miles from our house, on mostly trails and the Beltline. You can access this right from the Beltline. A really good and unique food court, but a little pricey. Has a rooftop deck and amusement area.
My current favorite breakfast spot on the weekend. About a 25 min walk if you need to burn a few calories before some sweet potato pancakes!

An unassuming green door down an alley lies a great little Korean BBQ done extremely well. Locals abound, food and drinks are great.

Tiny Lou’s is in the same building with the Clairmont lounge. But it is a wonderful and romantic French restaurant, with a great roof top bar and a great view. A little pricey but very reasonable for the service and quality. One of our go to places for a date night.

Ver small but well regarded Italian restaurant, with a modern interpretation of classic fare. Tiramisu and the pasta are some of the best in the city.

1642 McLendon Ave NE2 blocks away. This is the hub of the neighborhood. Awesome wine and beer selection for a small market. It can take me 20 min to pick a beer with so many to choose from. Growlers too. Friendly people and a nice little deli in the back. You can get a king of pops here too in the cooler up front.
There are some great places in L5P. 15 min walk. I really love Abbadabba's for casual shoes.

The variety playhouse gets some bigger acts. There are two live theatres here too if you want some local acting. Take Uber home after midnight.

This is one of my favorite places in Atlanta. Great if you have kids, they can wander around. It is a lot of fun to see the orchid house, with it's rain forest and desert scapes. It has a childrens garden with a fountain and plenty for the kids to run around.
