This is a very popular tourist attraction, right across the boulevard from my apartment. The food is average but pastries are lovely and the setting is spectacular. Worth a stop but reservations highly recommended.

Best overhead views of Budapest! This is a stop on the hop on, hop off busses, but for the more adventurous, take the #4 metro line from Rakoczi square or #7 bus from Blaha Lujza to Hotel Gellert and hike up to the top of Gellert hill.

A wonderful day trip from Budapest (one hour by suburban HEV train)--lovely small town with cobblestone streets and Baroque architecture. There is a great selection of art galleries, museums and small shops to explore.

Great concert venue offering very affordable prices for world class performances. An added bonus is that the Ludwig Museum is located in the same building and you can visit the museum for free with a concert ticket.
