Don't let the name fool you, this place is one of ABQ's best kept secrets, the restaurant is attached to the pharmacy and serves some of the best New Mexico cuisine around. As a bonus the pharmacy has lots of goodies from local artisans.

We love this place so much that the staff know us by name. The beer is excellent, most nights there is live music and the atmosphere is laid back and supper friendly.

Our zoo is really nicely done, the beautiful grounds and animals are guaranteed to keep you busy all day. The bonus trick is to ask for the train ticket and all day pass to the aquarium and Botanic gardens, then when you're done with the zoo you can ride the train to the other two locations.

This trail runs almost the full length of the city along the Rio Grande River. The main trail is paved and great for walking, bike riding and running. If you're feeling more adventurous there are many dirt trails that branch off the main trail and lead into the Bosque and the river. If you follow Coal Ave west till you see the trees of the river you will find the closest trail head.
