In addition to the famous, historical Alamo, walking along the Mission Reach of the beautiful and historic San Antonio River, is a not to be missed experience. The Mission Reach of the San Antonio River and its Mission Hike and Bike Trails wend through old neighborhoods and farmlands, from Mission Concepción to Mission Espada, eight (8) miles of dedicated paved pathways are reserved for the hiker and biker. Mission Portals connect San Antonio's four historic missions – Mission Concepción, Mission San Jose, Mission San Juan and Mission Espada – to the San Antonio River. These historic and artistic interpretations of missions story are now World Heritage Sites, one of 18 in the United States.

Casita Corazon is a few blocks from the McNay Art Museum, and minutes from the Broadway Cultural Corridor, featuring the Witte Museum, the Doseum for children, Brackenridge Park, and the San Antonio Museum of Art. A few blocks away, on Austin Hwy & New Braunfels (entrance is The McNay Art museum, an elegant jewel, known not only for its important art collection but for the 24-room Spanish Colonial Revival-style mansion that houses it. The Witte Museum , a few minutes down Broadway is a premier natural history museum with art galleries and historic exhibits from our region, including the McFarlin Jewel Room, the Lone Star Hall of Wildlife and Ecology and Dinosaur Hall.
