Also on Point Loma, at its southernmost tip, is the Cabrillo National Monument; beautiful views, walking trails, and meaningful history. Be sure to check its seasonal hours, especially for closing times.

Warning: if you go to Coronado Beach, stay on the "Hotel Del" end of the beach as navy military airplanes land on the northern end and can blow your stuff quite far....we learned by experience!
