These are places where we enjoy eating. From upscale dinners to trendy breakfast spots, we think you'll enjoy these places.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in the area for a nice dinner. It's a little pricey, but well worth the cost for the farm to table offerings. Dinner is only served on the weekends, however. It's about a 15 minute drive from our house.

Great place in downtown Hudson to have nice dinner. A bit pricey, but worth it. For a romantic dinner, be sure to reserve the one and only booth in the restaurant.

Prison AlleyThis is a great place to enjoy a morning croissant and a cappuccino. In the summer, we like to sit out on the patio with the fountain and small pool. It's quite pleasant! This place also has a bar open in the evenings that's quite "fancy." However, I've never been there for drinks.
Great place for a quick lunch. Food is tasty, seating is a little squishy and limited. It's usually packed since it's a local favorite.

We like this place for lunch and also family dinners during week nights. They usually have a delicious salad and some pasta dish to choose from for their week-night dinners (closed on Wednesdays.) You can also get gluten free pizza here, although I've never had it.

This is a German restaurant with surprisingly great food. We've been here a couple of times and it did not disappoint. Although it's not my favorite restaurant, it's a good one! Location in Kinderhook is just 10 minutes from the tiny house.

Broad street Bagel, located in Kinderhook, just 10 minutes away is a great place to grab a morning bagel, breakfast sandwich or coffee. Their lunch is good too and the atmosphere is always abuzz.

This is a little hole in the wall breakfast & lunch place in Hudson on Warren St. with about 4 tables. You order at the counter and they will bring you your meal when ready. The food is fresh and delicious! The menu is extremely limited, but the food is prepared to perfection!

Tanzy's on Warren Street is a great place for breakfast or lunch. It's kind of like going to your Grandma's house. If you like a full breakfast menu and don't want to go to the local diner in Greenport, this is a very good option.

This has become quite a trendy place over the last 10 years. It's definitely a place worth checking out and usually one of the main attractions for our tiny house visitors. There is also an Amtrak station downtown, along with a small park with view of the Hudson River.

If you would like to visit a quaint little village with some good places to eat and one of the best breweries in the county, you should check out the village of Chatham, NY. It has a few good bakeries and a variety of dining. There's also a movie theater and some interesting little stores. Small but good! I recommend Chatham Grill for a great burger, Our Daily Bread for lunch. Chatham brewing is supposed to be great. I'm not into beer, but friends tell me it's a really good place for brew.

Greenport Conservation area is about 5 minutes south for the tiny house. You can hike picnic of cross country ski on the 7 miles of trails which are mostly easy.

This is one of the most popular hiking spots in the Catskill mountain region. It's about a 45 minute drive from the tiny house. You can hike the trails or just observe from different look-out spots along the road.

High Falls in Philmont, NY is about 20 minutes from the tiny house and has an easy hiking trail to a beautiful waterfall. Definitely a great short excursion for when you don't want to spend the whole day hiking.
