I love to sit in the bar here, the view is fantastic. They specialize in a scratch margarita and any of the mojitos are truly refreshing. We always get the appetizer sampler and deserts. I’m sure their dinners are excellent too! If you want to sit in the main restaurant, make reservations.

This is a busy place but it’s worth the wait. The pizza is excellent and they have a good selection of local beers on tap. If beer isn’t your thing I highly recommend the root beer they have on tap.

Pssst....although we have lots of great sushi places, this seems to be where all the locals head for their sushi fix. They have a gluten free menu and provide gluten free soy sauce upon request.

Alaska and Hawaii ave very different but we seem have a very special connection as the last two states to join the union and possibly because many companies won’t ship to us since neither of us is part of the contiguous states. Their Poke is a local favorite, but everything is delicious here.

This is not my favorite grocery store in Anchorage, but I often stop here because it’s so close to home (only 1/2 a mile from the house). The produce is good and the employees are always friendly.

Costco carries some Alaskan made seasonings that are wonderful. There is a berry syrup made by Kodak Cakes that is deletions, I serve it on waffles or drizzle it on vanilla bean ice cream.
