At the beginning of the Linnaeusstraat, in front of the Tropenmuseum you can find this nice cozy bar with loungy interior. Great outdoor terrace to enjoy the sun and have breakfast or lunch. In the evening the bar is opened and you can also get some nice meals. Overall a great place to hang out and drink cocktails. Sometimes a DJ plays some relaxing tunes during the weekend.

There are plenty of other restaurants and nice terraces to eat or drink on this square. The Beukenplein (Beukensquare) is at less than 10 minutes walking distance, closeby Oosterpark.
We really like this place, because it’s hidden away but therefore so nice and quiet. Find a spot in the garden and grab yourself a tasty lunch.

You can get there with the free boat ferry (destination: NDSM) behind Amsterdam Central Station (15m ride).

Real fun market to visit. Afterwards walk across the Nieuwe Hoogstraat, Zeedijk or Warmoesstraat and taste the busy Amsterdam atmosphere until you reach the end at Dam Square.
