Parks & Nature
All of the places listed are open and a great way to get out and enjoy Maine. If you're looking for a bit of nature... a beach, an easy walk or a short hike up Bradbury Mt, here are some of my favorites.
The Town Commons celebrated its 300th anniversary last year! It's the only place I've ever seen a moose in Brunswick. Great walking and cross country skiing trails, about a 5 min drive down Rte 123 toward Harpswell.

North to Bath and out Rte 209 takes you to a sweet hike and breath-taking views of the Maine coast. If you are lucky enough to come in the fall, you'll miss the mesquites and black flies. If not, take the bug spray that's stocked in the apartment!

19 Ocean StIf you can time your arrival an hour or two before the tide is in, the crashing waves put on quite a powerful show! Don't get too close! Anytime though, this place is beautiful. A gorgeous drive, about 25 minute from the apartment.

Maine is a state of many small businesses. Even LL Bean started out small and is still owned by the family. Lots of funky finds around, I have listed just a few!
Need a pair of Bean boots? The outlet store always has them in stock! Only 10 minutes away, Freeport is full of wonderful outlet stores.

Brunswick is quickly becoming a "foody" destination with many restaurants to choose from. Almost all are within walking distance or try one of the food trucks on the mall during the summer. Many restaurants in Brunswick are closed on Monday and Tuesday. Please check before you head out!!

Mom says it's the best clam chowder she's had and she's from Lewiston (and she's 99 yo so she's had a few cups)! The service isn't always great but they have excellent seafood, inside and outside dining.

You find great food and views of the Androscoggin River. Housed in an old mill, the interior is open and spacious and in good weather you can dine outside on the porch over looking the water. About a 10 minute walk or a two minute drive.
