During the spring and summer there is so much to do, for all levels of athletes or desired ways to spend a great day outdoors. *Lake loop is great for bike rides. Many Thursday and Friday evenings they have live music in the evening, beer stands everywhere and food to make sure you are well taken care of. Take advantage of a fairly easy hike so close to Charlotte. If you feel like you need a little more, there is an alternative trail for those wanting to get in a decent workout. The top of the mountain is where you will see its all worth it! Bring a snack and water.

If you get on from 4th Street and Kings Drive or from Midtown (trader joes/target) you can make it down to Freedom Park and back - total of 6 miles from 4th street. You can rent bikes at Midtown shopping center (Target/West Elm) or Freedom Park - Metropolitan Avenue.
