Beautiful park system right in Minneapolis. Lots of trails, gardens, swimming beach, etc. They rent mountain bikes & XC skis.

Beautiful park and falls in the city. Lots of trails and open space. My favorite walk is down from the falls to the Mississippi. Also a good, simple sea food restaurant, Sea Salt, in the pavilion. For Sea Salt which is counter service, the lines can be long on a nice day to order food so plan on enjoying the outdoors.

Bde Maka Ska is connected via water and bike/walking paths to Lake Harriet, Lake of the Isles and Cedar Lake so this is where I recommend you rent a kayak, SUP or canoe to explore the connected lakes. Great people watching too.
