Weaver Street Market is a fabulous co-op market that is the perfect place to buy groceries or little gifts from the area! They also have a Sunday brunch that is fantastic, often accompanied by Jazz on the lawn in the summer months! Huge patio and green space to eat and lounge. In the evenings, you can also buy beer or a bottle of wine there, and just sit under the trees and enjoy people watching! Highly recommended!

A food truck that makes the best pizza Margarita I have ever eaten outside of Italy? In Carrboro, NC of all places? Yup. Trust me. Check online to see if they are there, and then go! They have little tables set up too, so that if the weather is nice, you can eat there too!

Acme's food is outstanding: upscale farm-to-table, sometimes with a bit of a southern twist. It is the perfect location for a date or nice dinner with friends! The one thing to note: their back patio is gorgeous!! Sit there! The inside restaurant- not so great when it comes to ambiance! So recommended mostly for warm evenings when you can score a table outside under the fig trees!

Cut through the neighborhood and be at Johnny's within five minutes or less for a morning cup of coffee or tea. They also have a great, large outside area with picnic tables.

This is the spot to go to if you want to take your laptop along to get some work done, drink coffee/tea/wine, and people watch. It is in every way a Carrboro institution!

Especially if the weather is nice, Looking Glass Café is a short walk down Poplar and has a lovely outdoor seating area to chill or get work done! Much like Open Eye Cafe, it is a more European café in that in addition to coffee and tea, they also serve wine. Lovely for warm evenings!

If you have a car, you have to drive out to Guglhupf! They serve the best Schnitzel I have eaten outside of Germany, in one of the most beautiful settings. If you aren't in the mood for food, their café also serves delicious pastries and coffee, or you could go to their bakery section and pick up some bread or other baked goods.

Sightseeing

If you are already this close to UNC's campus, you really should take a walk around campus. It is often named as one of the prettiest campuses in America. And nothing is more iconic than the Old Well. From there, cross the street and walk towards Wilson Library (away from Franklin St).
