This complex hosts the Christchurch i-site, eateries, shops and is located in a collection of buildings that originally hosted the University and Boys High. It is being restored, and is a great place to have a wander.

This is an exhibition about the earthquakes that caused enormous upheaval in Christchurch in 2010 - 2012. Our city is still recovering, and this gives some insights into that time.

Located in the city centre, the Botanic Gardens are a beautiful place to spend an afternoon, with walks, sculpture, cafe's and playground, you can see the locals at play.
In spring, the cherry blossom and field of daffodils are magnificent - a photo amongst the blooms is a tradition!

Rolleston AvenueLocated in the city centre, the Botanic Gardens are a beautiful place to spend an afternoon, with walks, sculpture, cafe's and playground, you can see the locals at play.
In spring, the cherry blossom and field of daffodils are magnificent - a photo amongst the blooms is a tradition!
Hosting local and international art exhibitions, the building is worth a wander about. The Gallery shop contains an eclectic selection of giftware.

The Museum was founded early in the establishment of Christchurch, and has diverse collections. It is located next to the Botanic Gardens, and across the road from the Arts Centre, so easy to do all together.

Akaroa is a small town on Banks Peninsuala - an easy day trip from Christchurch. The town is a popular escape for locals, and has a distinct French flavour. It is located on Akaroa Harbour, and you can take a cruise to look at or swim with dolphins. There are nice eateries, and beautiful scenery on the way over and in the township.
