This is a lovely pub with it's own speakeasy upstairs. You can sit out on their terrace and the food is always great. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere is buzzing on Friday and Saturday nights.

This place is super special. Book in advance and they tell you which river taxi you need to catch to take you on the 20 minute boat trip out to the wooden shack that floats in the middle of the estuary. Local fish and shellfish along with season veggies. I love their veggie burger and a glass of the local vineyard Pebblebed's rose.

Michael Caines' new venture. A beautifully restored manor up on the hill overlooking the estuary. Visit for a reasonable priced lunch or go all out and have the taster menu and stay over!

The Grapevine ticks a lot of boxes. Ruby burger recently moved into the pub and serve amazing burgers. They have their own brewery based next door - Crossed Anchors and the music on Friday and Saturday nights alway draws a great crowd, whether it is live or a DJ playing. My go to for a good night out.

They have their own brewery based next door - Crossed Anchors and the music on Friday and Saturday nights alway draws a great crowd, whether it is live or a DJ playing. My go to for a good night out.
Sightseeing
When the tide is out you can walk right the way round to another mile of lovely sandy beach up to Sandy Bay. Please keep an eye on high tide times though! You can also climb up the coastal path to view the sea and estuary.

3 miles of sandy beach. You can swim in the sea between the flags. Eat delicious ice creams and go and visit the lifeboat centre. There is also mini golf, pedalos and fish and chip places along the sea front.

This summer Exeter Quay is looking good with the Boat Shed theatre and bar open plus you can cycle, canoe or paddle board down to Double Locks and Turf Locks pubs from here.
