This little road leads you to the park and all the trails going up the south side of the valley. Great for trail running or hiking to the summit of the Brèvent or Parc Merlet (wild alpine animals).

This is the tourist cog wheel train that brings you up to the Mer de Glace glacier, and is the second most popular site in Chamonix in the summer season. Drive or take the SNCF train or bus there.

This is a nearby climbing area, well developed with hundreds of bolted routes. It also has a high ropes course and beautiful lakes. A lovely 1km walk through the woods on trails is the best way there.
