You can ride the Tram to the top of Sandia Crest - it's beautiful! There are trails at the top and a restaurant (I've never eaten there).

The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta is in October and draws a huge crowd. I've never been to this museum, but I've heard great things if you're interested in hot air balloons.
