Food Scene
By now 'Wilde Zwijnen' has become an Amsterdam institution. Great food, great wine, and great beer. It's a little on the expensive side, but definitely worth it. Call ahead to make a reservation, because it is usually packed.
It is actually 2 restaurantes. Our favorite is the smaller of the 2 called Bar Wilde Zijnen.

De Biertuin is famous in Amsterdam for it's great outside space, and perhaps more importantly, for its fantastic roasted chicken and prize winning hamburgers!

You can get there by foot, but if you are tired it might just be a bit too far. But you can either take the car, your bike or hire a helicopter. Polder is located in the so-called university Science Park and is housed in an old farm. Super kid friendly and a lovely large sunny terrace.
