Food Scene

A true Portuguese restaurant owned by an elderly couple. The cooking is home-made style and the quality is superb. The duck rice and the roasted veal are my favourites there.

Tradicional Porto restaurant. Famous for its sliced ham with (or without) Serra da Estrela Cheese (it has PDO status). Also ask for a bottle of their Espadal wine (similar to Rosé).

Metal arch bridge that spans the Douro River. At the time of construction its span of 172 m was the longest of its type in the world. It offers a great view, you can cross it on foot or by subway.

São Bento subway station at Porto downton. It is also a historial train station that is known for its tile (azulejo) panels that depict scenes of the History of Portugal.
