Built in Merrimack, MA in 1928 and transported to Littleton, NH - where it opened in 1930. In 1940 a new Sterling Diner was constructed on the original site, where the Littleton Diner has been an integral part of the community since.

Drinks & Nightlife
Great selection/variety of beer that changes with the season or when they create new kinds. I do several flights of beer every time I go so I can try as many as possible. They also offer growler filling. The staff and bartenders are always friendly and super knowledgeable. Parking can be a little tough if they are busy, but it's worth it. They offer outdoor seating as well, and the scenic view overlooks a river. The food is really good. They specialize in wood fired pizza, but offer a decent selection of other things as well. The ingredients are fresh and many are locally sourced.

Parks & Nature
Always a gorgeous area. Parking is reasonable, though on nice summer weekends, parking can really overflow if you're not early. Franconia Notch is a great area, even if you're just driving through. Note that the weather can always be highly variable in the notch, so be prepared for potentially significant differences in weather from neighboring areas. There are lots of trailheads for good hikes within just a few miles of each other, affording the opportunity for a great many hikes between Cannon and the Kinsmans on the west side of the highway, and the amazing Franconia Ridge on the east side of the highway.
