“Gold Mint is one of many trails located in Hatcher Pass. It is 8 miles one way, but well worth the hike. It takes through low vegetation up to the base of the mountain. There is then a trail along side the mountain that leads to the top. Once again the scenery is beautiful for the whole hike. ”

“My BNB is right on this lake with gorgeous views. Seymour lake (also known as Herning Lake) has the reputation for being the greatest trout fishing lake in the entire Mat-Su Valley. Fish from our canoe or ice fish in the winter months. In the summer take out the canoe to enjoy the scenery. Our large dock has lawn chairs to enjoy the water, sun, swimming, and wildlife. Watch fisherman. We have a floating dock available. Float planes take off daily (summer) which many guest enjoy watching. The lake is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. Planes take off in the winter as well. You will love it.”
