Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing setting in the Luigui. Surrounded by mountains and streams, it makes you realize why Taiwan is called Formosa. The hosts are a lovely couple and the place is great. Amazing views and close access to local delicacies and hot springs. Great escape from the busy city life. Had a great weekend abd would love to visit again.

Awesome! First, I was the only one that night, so I had the whole place to myself. I had trouble finding the place when I was in the neighborhood, but Naomi came quickly to help me. It felt like suburbia. The house style is unique, definitely not Taiwanese style. The neighborhood is mainly made up of Hakka who lost their homes in a typhoon and who were relocated. It's very tranquil and I felt safe. What touched me was the kindness of the neighbor who handed me a traditional snack that she made ... To her, I was a complete stranger, yet she still displayed hospitality. What kindness. There is a dinner place not too far of a walk, like a minute. I wish I had more time just to explore the neighborhood and and see the people. Definitely worth a few days stay if you're wanting to get away from the city. As for the house itself, it has mostly everything you need. It has a very personal touch, feel and flavor. It's not a five-star resort, but I'll give it five stars for the friendliness of the host and the uniqueness of the furniture and wall drawings. Overall, I enjoyed my short stay and would like to come back one day for a real stay to explore around.
It was so great to stay at this house, my hosts did a lot for me to make me feel welcome and I'm very grateful for the quiet days I had there. It's a nice getaway from the cities and still close to the small town Meinong.
I already wrote a review the previous week and came back here to this town/village to take some time to explore some more. Naomi also invited me to her place for breakfast. Homemade everything - bread, coffee, jam and juice! Not expecting that! She was also helpful pointing out where to go, visit and explore on my scooter. I found a nice, secluded river about 20 minutes outside of town. It's a very nice and simple place to visit. Perfect to go to get out of city life.
