This homestead is one of the original houses built at Australia's Oldest family owned pearl farm. Situated in the heart of the little pearling village, it is a short walk to the beach and 100m to the pool and restaurant. Cygnet Bay has a number of accommodation options available, safari tents, cottages and camping. This house is the only Airbnb option presently at Cygnet Bay. First three bookings will receive 20% off the total booking amount. Let me know dates and I will adjust the price!
I refer to our cosy home at Cygnet Bay as our beach shack. Its a bit quirky and eclectic, and fun! There is a lovely corner in the living area with a bed/lounge to relax in. A lovely deep bath to have a soak in and fire pit to sit around in the evening with a wine and toast some marshmallows. Lived in by a family, there are plenty of books, board games, dvds and toys for all ages. An outdoor shower to throw the kids in! Being located in the main camp, you can always opt for a champagne lunch with a pearl meat taster or join other guests and staff for the dinner in the restaurant. Don't forget cocktails by the pool at happy hour, to look at the tours we have on offer and of course our showroom of exquisite pearls grown right here on the farm.
Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm is the only fully operational pearl farm open to the public. We have been in operation since 1946. We are family owned and run and into our four generation of little pearlers. The homestead that you are staying in was the first "proper" house lived in by Bruce and Alison Brown, my husbands parents. Before this they lived in a bark hut for 10 years! Over the years it has been lived in by other management persons and employees. In 2015, we decided to move out of our current home, The Master Pearler, and back into the homestead.
