The Sundae Cottage is located in north central Missouri, 7 miles east of Marceline, Missouri, just off State Highway WW. Nestled atop a hill with views of surrounding timber, grasslands, and native habitat - it's a natural "sweet spot" for those who love being outdoors. Guests have access to over 700 acres and are welcome to hike the trails, explore Brush Creek, fish the ponds, and view the wildlife. A primitive cabin can accommodate additional guests and is available upon request.
The Sundae Cottage is a cozy, secluded getaway for anyone looking for a chance to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With 2 bedrooms, a sleeper sofa, and 2 baths, the cottage can accommodate up to 11 guests. Guests have access to all rooms in cottage and may especially enjoy the wonderful views, both indoors and out. One can expect to see a variety of wildlife, such as quail, deer, and turkey, all while sitting in the comfort of the dining room/kitchen. A primitive cabin is available for those who enjoy sleeping outdoors, with cots available upon request. Additional guests are welcome with prior approval.
The Sundae Cottage is situated just down the road and across the creek from our larger Tin Roof Sundae Cabin.
In 2015, we became the first private landowner in the state of Missouri to pilot the Missouri Recreational Access Program (MRAP) through the Missouri Department of Conservation. The program allows various public recreational activities on privately owned property. Depending on the location, visitors are allowed access for activities ranging from wildlife viewing to fishing and/or hunting. The cottage property provides access to the Northeast Macon County Brush Creek North site, for wildlife viewing and hiking.
Check out the MDC website to view maps and find out more about our MRAP properties and those nearby.
