“A popular Local Spot for Breakfast. It is always crowded but always a seat can be found. If there are no seats, go sit on the pier across the parking lot.”

“Straight down El Morro is Baywood Park, where you will find the Back Bay Cafe for great coffee, breakfast, and kids cocoa. You'll also find other restaurants, the dock, a small market, a bakery, taverns, and art studios. Montana de Oro State Park is about 15 minutes away- just go west on Los Osos Valley Road. It is known for spectacular bluff views and trails for hiking, biking, and running. There you will find Spooner's Cove and the Bluff Trail which gives access to tide pooling at Coralina Cove.”

“Rounding out our favorite Los Osos restaurants is La Palapa, a fantastic Mexican seafood restaurant. For nearly a decade, La Palapa has made a commitment to the freshest ingredients and sticking to tradition with their sides and entrees. Start your weekend with a delectable brunch with family or friends, or save your visit for the evening and enjoy some amazing authentic Mexican dishes alongside freshly prepared seafood. No matter what time of day you decide to visit La Palapa, you will be dazzled and amazed by their menu.”

“Known as just "Sweet Springs" this preserve also has great views of the back bay and rock. Turtles are often seen in the pond. There is a new boardwalk extension on the east side of the preserve. A peaceful area to visit in Baywood.”

“If you are lucky enough to be in LO on a Monday, run down to the bay between 2-4 for great produce, cheeses, fresh fish, and hand-crafted gifts. A very nice, smaller farmer's market that I never miss if possible. I find usually find parking on 2nd St or across from the liquor store/market on Santa Maria Ave.”

“One of the newest restaurants in SLO County, Baywood Tavern has made a big splash in the Los Osos food scene. This gastropub-style restaurant is well-known for its unique take on classic bar favorites, including their Taco Salad, high-piled sandwiches, and even a weekend breakfast menu. Baywood Tavern showcases some of the most popular beer and wine in Central California and they host a variety of late-night entertainment, including live music and an open mic night. During the Summer thy offer a breakfast which we much prefer to the nearby back bay cafe which is a little disappointing.”

“For a relaxing evening, I enjoy sitting outside at The Blue Heron Restaurant by the gas fire pits for a glass of wine or beer. They have really good appetizers and a full restaurant inside. The Baywood Tavern is another very nice choice.”

“The archetypal Dive Bar, with cheap drinks, karaoke, and local music. Not for everyone, but if you like a lot of local color, it lives here. Famous for being Wikipedia's example of "Dive Bar". ”
