We loved Pablo’s place. Everything was neat, tidy and clean. Super flexible check in and it was on Easter Day which makes it even more amazing! I would definitely recommend it and stay again next time in Newark!

We was there as my son had his graduation. The place was lovely felt home from home. Both ladies Jamiee but I forgot the other lady’s name (forgive me) was absolutely fantastic and professional. Very patient, courteous and very attentive. The home cooked breakfast was exceptional and very filling, we were spoilt for choice. The rooms were very cosy, super clean and comfortable cannot fault it. Definitely would recommend this guest house, a wonderful stay. Didn’t want to go home! Thank you so much.

Everything is splendid about this place. The setting is magnificent: a hilltop above the lush Derwent Valley, with a family of deer frequenting the estate, mist rising over the Derwent River, lush groves of birch and other trees extending across rolling fields. Owner Peter Kay and his family have done a remarkable job renovating the old gabled mansion, filling it with tasteful furnishings and fittings and an array of antiques that conjure up its days as the summer estate of the Nightingales -- Florence, her sister, and parents- during much of the nineteenth century. Peter is a fount of information about the legendary nurse and social reformer and her life in rural England, and, following an excellent breakfast prepared by his wife, he led me on an invigorating morning walk, both along the river and on the carriage trails that Florence's father had constructed in the surrounding forest. For both those with special interest in Florence Nightingale and those seeking a serene and beautiful retreat in Derbyshire, I can't recommend Lea Hurst highly enough.

Jackie and Richard's place was as described and pictures are accurate. Jackie met us on arrival and explained everything to us. Made an excellent recommendation for dinner. Everything very clean and tidy. Would recommend.

It was an incredible experience, and the perfect get away. The wife loved the room, the window view, and the fact it's a working farm too. We only met Charlie who was really welcoming, genuine and made our stay personal. We will definitely go again. Thank you Sarah and James

The accommodation was beautifully decorated, spotless with those extra luxury touches that made us feel special and comfortable. Breakfast - best breakfast we’ve ever had, enjoyable and we could tell the love and passion that had gone into this with the homemade and locally sourced ingredients, accompanied by a great host. A great location for accessing Trent Bridge cricket ground and Nottingham City centre Ann a very helpful and friendly host comfortable Sofa bed multiple different places to eat nearby and in easy walking distance

What an absolutely fantastic place to stay. So very kind allowing us to check out a little later too. We have finally found where we are going to stay when we come up to visit family. We stayed at The Canal Inn after a visit to Alton Towers and were very impressed. The pub itself is a spotlessly clean and tidy little gem. There is a very friendly and welcoming atmosphere and the staff are extremely polite and attentive. The pub’s food was excellent- both dinner and complimentary breakfast the following morning were delicious. And if you’re a beer drinker like myself, there’s a great tap line up and the beer is nice and cold and tastes crisp and fresh. The accommodation has a very new feel, and was also immaculate - the room has everything you need including air conditioning which served us well on the warm night we stayed. The only thing I would recommend is stocking up on anything you might need (such as water) as the nearest shop is a 25 minute walk. All in all we had a fantastic stay and were made to feel very welcome. Highly recommended if you’re in the area.

Newly renovated Old Pub done with nice taste. Lovely room and bathroom with great shower. Breakfast included was great, good atmosphere in the Pub and local community. Would not hesitate in re booking!

Lovely bedroom in a purpose built area at the back of a pub. Place was really easy to find and was nice and quiet. Comfortable room, with air con/heater which on a cold damp night was a blessing! Checking in was easy and the door entry system meant I could leave and return whenever I wished. Would recommend.

From the moment I pulled up besides the pub I knew I was in for a treat ! The locals were very friendly and I immediately felt at home! Checking was easy and I followed a couple of guys up a couple of flights to my room ( they worked there and the football banter was good) My room was…. Wow very nice and ever so clean! I had a great stop over and I didn’t want to get up ! When I came down for breakfast , I was greeted by a very pleasant young chap and as I ordered he couldn’t do enough for me! My breakfast was excellent! And finally I bumped into the lady whom keeps the rooms in tip top prestige condition! I could clearly see by her atire and attitude that she was on the ball I believe her name was Kate Thank you all ! Glenn
