Tau Studio - Boutique Accommodation

Tau Studio is a boutique style chalet with a modern stylish decor and a hint of luxury. Everything is provided including top quality linen. It is very spacious but also has a lovely cosy, warm feel. Perfect for couples. It is based in the lovely quiet village of Rangataua which is only a 5-minute drive to Ohakune township where there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops. The winter offers fantastic skiing and snowboarding, and summer offers lots of walks, mountain biking and fishing.

Tui Cabin

This container home is set in a private spot surrounded by native bush with a view of the mountain through the trees. The interior of the cabin consists of a separate bedroom with a queen size bed, a fully equipped kitchen, lounge and wood burner. The container has a cosy ambience with lots of light on a sunlit day. Large ranchsliders connect you to the natural world outside for hiking, kayaking, canoeing, skiing or mountain exploring. Walk across the road to dine or relax and cook at home.

Tastefully renovated fully equipt house and new sleepout. Fully insulated with double glazed windows. Large bathroom, gas hot water and large kitchen/dining/family room opening onto a large deck for alfresco living. Warm and cosy in winter (heatpump), shade in summer with large flat section of lawn, garden and trees. Very close to river within walking distance across the bridge to Turangi shops. Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).
