Great place to stay! Had many amenities and was such a large room. Definitely would stay there again

We had a good stay at The Alpine Chalets. Checkin and checkout were very easy. Stewart and Mary were very responsive and provided clear instructions. The place was very accessible to everything that you might need like bus stop, restaurants and dairy. The room is a bit dated, especially the toilet and shower, but overall it was functional, clean and tidy.

Dani’s place is nothing short of amazing. One of the best places we’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful, relaxing settings, have a drink by the fireplace, enjoy an amazing breakfast in the morning. We will most definitely be back!

Andrea’s lodge was just perfect. We had everything we needed. Fully equipped kitchen, a warm fireplace, nice and tidy room. We felt like home. She gave us some recommendations for the area. There is also a pick for the shuttle bus to the start of the Tongario crossing right in front of the street. Easy to book and close to the start and end. Self laundry with coins available at the reception (if you have none) We can highly recommend this place!!

I normally leave 5 stars because everything is fine or as expected, but I would leave this place 6 stars if I could. It’s far and away the best AirBnB I have stayed at. The place itself is very tranquil, homey and a great spot to unwind, yet also only 5 minutes into town for restaurants. Melana was such a great host from offering a welcome drink and snack, to giving local restaurant suggestions, to providing a choice of hot breakfast in the morning. I only stayed one night, but would definitely seek her place out again the next time I’m back in the area.

Love the parking, right next to unit. Thanks for outdoors chairs. Water temp was very hard to regulate. Kitchen well equipped.

An older hotel that's had the cabin rooms with ensuite renovated at some stage. Great value :)

Thanks so much to the Kings ppl, we had a great stay. There’s a drying room for gear, a lovely restaurant and they did a breakfast bagel to take away which filled me & kids up to dinner! A great place.

Damon is such a nice and cool person. The hotel is so nostalgic, it looks like a museum from the 80’s. We really had fun and enjoyed the place. He also have such cool collections and nice paintings on the wall which I appreciated looking at it. Thank you so much, Damon!

Damon is very lovely and welcoming. The place was cozy, uniquely decorated and the room is tidy and warm. Thank you so much for having us and also letting us stay an extended time being it last minute and all, we had a wonderful weekend.

We loved staying at Damon’s place - quirky, unique, mind blowing collections. Loved the retro vibe - we got the full tour of this phenomenal property! Damon is super chill and friendly, a real gem. We went for the loop walk in Raetihi, beautiful bit of bush very close, lovely clear swimming hole. Our motel unit wa private, spacious and comfortable - we had a record player in our room! If you like something a bit different, really good value, this is worth checking out. Loved this place, will be back sometime with friends - cheers for your hospitality Damon!

I didn't have the chance to meet Damon face to face while I stayed, his arrangement was thoughtful and the room was very large and fully equiped, like kitchen utilities, towels and TV etc. I will stay next time when I'm back in the town. Highly recommended.
