The self-contained apartment is ideal for a couple. A second bedroom has a single bed for an extra guest.

Hastings by the Sea is located in the sleepy coastal hamlet of Hastings Point. This newly renovated ground floor garden unit is situated on Cudgera Creek and within walking distance to the beautiful Hastings Foreshore and lookout. A short scenic drive south you will find yourself in Pottsville and beautiful Byron Bay. To the north you will be in bustling Cabarita. All have fabulous beaches, restaurants and shopping. This unit is perfect for families, couples and friends to enjoy and relax.

Platypus is a tranquil oasis that allows you to switch into holiday mode instantly. It is a perfect place to unwind. Picture the sound of rolling waves, the tantalizing smell of sea water, sun-warmed sand and a hint of coconut sunscreen. Grab a towel and wander to the pristine beach for a morning dip or cool yourself off in the large pool. Skip down to Bay Roots cafe for a delicious breakfast or lunch or walk some of the trails through the beautiful littoral rainforest at your doorstep.

Peaceful creek and ocean beach access. 200m walk to surf beach. 35 minutes from Tweed Rail Trail. This rail trail is accessible from Burringbar, Mooball or Murwillumbah which are all less than 35 minutes from Rene's Cottage. There are pelicans, herons, osprey and marine animals. Can comfortably accommodate 2 adults. Whale watching June >> November. All cooking equipment, bed linen and towels supplied. Kayaks and crab pots; no extra, but no pets. Check in time 2pm. Check out time is 10am.

This scenic spot is great for family activities including walking, fishing, swimming, kayaking, and paddle boarding. Walk to children's playground and swimming area at the mouth of the creek. Only a 20 minute drive or bus from Gold Coast airport and Tweed City and just over half an hour drive to popular Byron Bay.
