This stay was amazing! A perfect quiet retreat surrounded by the Irish countryside! The hosts are so nice and always responsive. Hope to go back again sometime!

We had a wonderful stay at the Beach House! Location, location, location is what it was all about, just stunning! Great outdoor and indoor space for all of the family. We all enjoyed the sauna and it was just a pity that the hot tub was not in use, but it did not spoil anything. The only thing to be mindful of is the shortage of hot water when taking a shower, which i think has been mentioned in previous reviews. However, overall it's the most amazing location and house for a break in West Cork and we really hope we will be back one summer in the future!

Loved the house and amenities, the hydrobath and sauna are amazing and the view is beautiful. So nice chilling out in the jacuzzi looking at the mountains and stars

We had a wonderful stay at Gerard’s cottage! It was the perfect getaway. We especially loved the hot tub with the picturesque surroundings, so relaxing! It’s also super close to Clonakilty town and nearby beaches 🙌☺️

We just spent 3 nights at Bridgeview Cottage and honestly wish it had been longer! Grace was very communicative and helpful and left fresh scones, butter, jam and milk which we enjoyed. The house is beautifully finished, spacious and airy. The setting is peaceful - lots of trees, nice views across the green valley and quiet apart from the sound of birdsong. The hot tub was a welcome bonus and was ready to use from the time we arrived which was a thoughtful touch. The house is nice and close to Clonakilty and many shops and services. The only remotely negative thing I would say (for other guests benefit) is that the spiral stairs have pointy bits on which my clothes go caught on almost every time I went down them, so just to be aware I'm case of snags! Aside from that a perfect few days and we would love to come back, we barely scratched the surface of what West Cork has to offer!

Gerard was a lovely host. Beautiful grounds, would definitely stay here again. Very peaceful and very clean. Hot tub and sauna are a lovely addition to this already stunning airbnb.

We all had an amazing time at the tag retreat cottage! The place is clean and beautiful, location is amazing (3 minutes drive to nice sandy beach perfect for swimming 🙂), amazing fenced in garden very secure for pets, hot tub that is on at all times and was the absolute highlight of our trip! Plus we had the cutest little sheep as neighbours 😍 All in all a wonderful trip and we can’t wait to be back! Sarah the host is so lovely and responsive, she couldn’t do enough to make us feel welcome in her beautiful cottage. We’ve been to many Airbnbs in the Irish countryside but this is absolutely the best of the best.

Absolutely gorgeous place with lots too do and see. This is my second time staying here and it wont be the last. Gerard was responsive and helpful. Overall great experience!

The cottage is tucked away in the countryside, and was very clean. The best thing was the wood stove - lots of wood and toasty. We did the night kayaking trip on Lough Hyne and Donagh had the fire lit when we got back. That was fantastic !

From the very beginning Tom was very helpful and always responsive. When we had problems he was quick to respond and help us in whatever we needed. He and his wife were very friendly and l loved talking to them. I highly recommend this place. Obviously you need a car to get around. Thanks for making us feel at home.

This was our second time staying in the snug and once again it was fantastic. It's a beautiful corner of west cork, surrounded by astounding scenery. The snug itself is beautiful and has everything you need. It has been well thought out and has clearly been designed with love. We enjoyed breakfast on the private patio and snuggling in with the fire lit in the evenings. Francis couldn't have been a more helpful and friendly host. Can't recommend it enough.

This is a beautiful house in a wonderful, private location. The bed was huge and comfortable, with a view of Bantry Bay from the pillow. The facilities are excellent, the garden private and peaceful. Wild ponies were in the area, which was a joy. Kevin is an excellent host. I highly recommend staying here and would love to come back.

We LOVED this space. Annette thought of everything a guest might want. Her home was decorated tastefully with sweet touches, quality furnishings, and thoughtful extras. The kitchen was immaculate with new appliances and all the gadgets we needed for cooking. Her outdoor space was beautiful and serene. We spent much time outside, looking at her garden and listening to the bees/birds. It was amazing. Annette was a great host. She provided a welcome basket with local items and spent a good amount of time with us, though also respected our privacy. She educated us about the home, advised us about eating options/local spots to visit and was just a joy to chat with. We spent several days at her home and are anticipating spending longer stays at her home. This home is a rare find. :)

This place was a home from home for us! We were able to come in and feel right at home, relaxed after a long journey and close to those we’d come to visit. We were 2 adults and 4 kids aged 4-11. They loved this house and garden. They had the safety and freedom to play and enjoy the beautiful day/evening. Ger was wonderful and kept in contact, even coming to visit us to ensure we were happy. Instructions left were clear, and the house is beautiful. We were gutted to leave in our travels. But as my family live near by this place will become a yearly regular!

An ideal, quiet, disconnected getaway. Idyllic location just off the main road but quiet due to the abundance of trees nearby. A simple and cozy place to relax without any distractions. Ideal for two adults just looking for a place to lay their heads at night and disconnect from things. Dan is an absolute gentleman and a lightning fast responder on messages. perfect.

Beautiful location, so perfect for a peaceful trip to Killarney but still not very difficult to get anywhere as long as you are comfortable with driving narrow winding country roads. Suited us perfectly for the weekend and an ideal location for everything we wanted and needed. Margaret was so lovely and made sure to make contact about anything we may have encountered for the weekend we were there. Overall had a brilliant stay.

Sarah was a wonderful host, very responsive and helpful. We had some problems with our flights and had to change them and she was very understanding and easy to deal with!

Our second stay at the cottages in two years which is always a good indication of how at home I feel lhere. If you are looking for a complete switch off, amazing countryside and total chill out... This is the place to do it.

My wife and I have been pleasantly surprised by the Irish hospitality. Nick was very welcoming, showed us around and gave us great suggestions for restaurants and places around town. The place was beautiful— he provided everything we needed to have for a cozy fire during our stay. It was well placed to begin a tour of the ring of Kerry. And Kenmare is our favorite town in Kerry for food, many great options. Brewhouse, PF Mcarthers, Masion Gourmet, Box wood.

Amazing host and place. Quiet, with many birds singing and an unbelievable sunrise and sunset on the horizon. Mary's cottage is bright and clean, with everything you need for cooking, sleeping, and staying comfortable for more than 2 nights. It was a happy find among so many options on Airbnb. Exactly what you want from a cottage on a sheep farm in the middle of a national park in Ireland. Cozy and checked all of the boxes for us. We wish we never had to leave. The proximity to Lord Brandon’s Cottage. the adjoining trails (Kerry’s Way) and the Dux’s boat tours from Kate’s Cottage made for an incredible experience. The recently upgraded amenities surely made for a more comfortable stay and even though we were looking forward to a more off-the-grid experience - our cell service was 100% in the entire Black Valley area. More reliable than Verizon at home. Go figure.
