My wife and I had a great stay at Judina's place. I’m glad we took a chance on her newly listed apartment and I wouldn’t hesitate to return or recommend it to friends. Since we were her first guests and this will be her first review, I’ve tried to be thorough (but may have gone overboard).//
Judina was everything we hope for in an Airbnb host: responsive, considerate, and attentive to detail. Upon our arrival she greeted us with cool towels and cold drinks. She left us provisions in the fridge to prepare breakfast, since we were getting in late and might not make it to the store. Before our trip she asked us to name anything that might make our stay more comfortable and when we arrived it was all there for us: beach towels, a blender (smoothies!), toiletries and a map/activity guide. She stopped by to check on us a couple of times during our stay, just to make sure everything was going well. She was also flexible and willing to accommodate a change in plans at the last minute, which was greatly appreciated.//
In terms of the apartment itself, we were very pleased with it. It's newly renovated and nicely furnished, and beyond my expectations for the price. It was very clean, the living area was large and comfortable, and the kitchen was both attractive (granite!) and highly functional. The bedrooms were a nice size and had good storage. The balcony off of the main sitting area offered a great place to wind down after a long day. The WiFi was fast enough to watch Netflix. I can’t think of anything we might have needed that wasn’t provided.//
As much as I enjoyed our stay, there are a few things to consider. At the time of our stay the apartment didn’t have A/C. The temperature was never an issue for us since the screened windows provided adequate ventilation and cooling. Judina says that A/C is being installed next week in any case. The A/C should also help address noise by allowing you to close the windows at night. The apartment is off of the main road and while it’s high up and a ways away, the road noise might bother light sleepers.//
Finally, while we don’t think you’d absolutely need a car to stay here we were glad we had one. The apartment is only a few minutes drive from Rodney Bay and Gros Islet and is also close to Castries. Local busses run up and down the main road quite frequently, so you could make out just fine with public transportation. The house is rather high up on a hill though, and you would have a bit of a climb after getting off of your bus. If you’ve got a car, won’t mind the hike up the hill, or are ok getting around via taxi (one of the neighbors is a taxi driver), Judina’s apartment is a great place to stay and a great value.
