Bacio del Sole B&B was a terrific experience. It was the largest room we stayed in during our trip, and had the best balcony. Your room, has it’s own terrace that looks over the mountains, Positano, and the Ocean. Literally breathtaking watching the sunset at night.
The breakfast we had in the morning was some of the best we had during our entire trip in Italy. They did not hold anything back. Cheese, fresh baked goods, meats, granola, almonds! They had almonds! Yogurt, juices, more cheese, more baked goods, acii berries; the list goes on and one.
Best of all, there is a tiny families of kittens that roam the grounds. They are adorable, very friendly, and keep their space. They hide above the pizza oven during the day.
One warning getting to Bacio del Sole B&B however.
When taking the Sita bus from the Positano bus station, it will drop you off at the base of “Via Nocelle”. There are no markings of where to catch the next bus, and if you are unfortunate as we were, you checked (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) for walking directions.
(SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN), literally, says it’s only a 24 minute walk. However, (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) doesn’t understand the walk is up a mountain and it will take you 2.5 hours + to walk up the 1,700 steps to Nocelle. Not to mention, to have every hiker walking down the 1,700 steps look at you with astonishment and pity as you are carrying your luggage up 400+ meters. This is entirely (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN)'s fault, not BaciodelSole.
If you get dropped off at the base of the stairs, walk to West about 15 minutes to the area near Torre Sponda Apartments Positano, and there you can catch the bus to Nocelle. The stop is right before the road splits into two. You stand on the sea side. It’s a small orange bus, that says Nocelle. If the bus says anything but “Nocelle” its not the right bus. You can pay on board and its 1.70 per person.
Bacio del Sole B&B was excellent, and remote. It is easy enough to get into Positano, but it’s far enough to be peaceful and quiet.
