Our home is a Victorian terraced house, originally built in 1854 and totally renovated in 2011. It is like new inside, with reclaimed wooden floors throughout, double glazing, and lots of insulation. There is a large kitchen/diner with glass folding doors to a patio garden and our art studio/office. There is a separate downstairs bathroom used by the family. The house is full of books, guitars and sports equipment. We have fast internet.
What to expect during your stay?
If you do come and stay with us you may be on your own or various family members may be there too - depends on where we are. We can accept arrivals between between 4 pm and 10 pm, and sometimes earlier or later, but need to plan this with you, and will give you your own key. We can leave you space in the fridge if you would like to cook and there are plenty of herbs and spices and cooking oils etc in the kitchen which you can use. Help yourself to tea, freshly ground coffee and fruit.
We are a family of four - two working parents and two college students who study abroad. We travel the world competing in sailing and like meeting interesting people who want to come and explore London. We know London well and are happy to help you plan your visit and excursions.
Use the kitchen for cooking if you wish.
Общение с гостями
We interact with guests depending on mutual interests and if we are busy or not. Sometimes you will be in the house by yourself and sometimes we will all be there. We all travel and work so it can be a bit variable. We try and pick people that we would like to meet and have shared interests with so please do complete your AirBnB profile.
Другие важные подробности
We are especially keen to meet people who share our interests, which include sport, technology, music, medicine, art, academia and the environment. Happy also to share and swap books as we read like maniacs and are always running out.
Have fun in London
Leave the house as you find it
No parties (we like our neighbours) - it is polite to be pretty quiet after 11 pm at night
Please water our window boxes and garden
Separate your trash (food, paper/cans/bottles, and everything else). Collection is on Mondays.
No smoking. Absolutely no drugs.
Please keep the noise down late at night - this is a residential area and we stay in good relations with our neighbours.
Five things my family and I cannot live without are books, boats, wifi, good coffee, a sense of humour, and a heartbeat.
We are AirBnb hosts because it is fun and worthwhile. We are used to hosting guests of all kinds - meeting new and different people is something we all enjoy and appreciate. If you stay with us you may meet one or more of the family depending on who is around. You can have as much private time as you like.
Life motto - Carpe Diem.
