This is one of two guest rooms. Beautifully furnished room with a queen-sized bed, walk-in closet, and access to a shared living space, work space, kitchen, front porch, fireplace, and dining room.
We are a few blocks from Historic Route 66, a 3 min drive from downtown, 10 minutes from the Joplin airport, 12 minutes from both Freeman and Mercy hospitals and about 12-15 minutes from Interstate 44 and 49.
The room itself has a queen-size bed, lounge chair, and walk-in closet. It features wood floors and a beautiful window overlooking the back yard.
The upstairs bathroom is right next to your room and your door opens to a shared living space with a couch, chairs and plenty of space to relax.
We will contact you the day before your arrival with the details of your stay, and a code to access our keyless entry system.
You will have access to two large living areas (one upstairs and one downstairs), the kitchen and all its amenities, dining room, two bathrooms (one upstairs and one downstairs), the fireplace, and a front porch with a fire pit and seating area. Also, if you have laundry, we have a washer and dryer you can use.

We are southern California natives who are newly married and newcomers to Missouri life. We love our new city, new home and new friends. We love to travel and have been to over 30 countries between us.
Our style of traveling is to become like the locals and experience everyday life in a new place. We love to submerge in the culture: eating the food, traveling on foot, and making room for unexpected whimsy.
We also love history, and that's why we bought a 100+ year old home, built by one of Joplin's early municipal judges in this historic neighborhood called North Heights. We love to help educate people about our amazing town because there's a lot to do and see and a rich history here dating back to the mid-1800's.
We also love to host others. Stephen grew up in a family who always had an extra room open to the less fortunate and that spirit of hospitality and inclusiveness, has made it's way into our marriage. Hosting others is a way of life for us and we would feel privileged to host you or your family.
