Hello! Welcome, if you are planning to visit the awesome city of Gent.
I can offer you a private room in a shared b&b apartment, on the ground floor with a cosy and silent garden - all just outside the city center and easy to reach by tram and bus.
I can offer you a small private room in a clean shared apartment (where I also live), all on ground level, with some breakfast for you to choose from.
The private room you see on the photo is just suitable for sleeping, I'm not lying that it is small but everyone managed so far :) It has a bunk bed (place for 2 persons downstairs, and 1 person upstairs, which the latter is actually more an emergency spot), and a roof window you can open, but I recommend not tóo much, or dirt and rain can come in....
There is heating for those ice cold nights, and in the summer it doesn't get too warm due to its location, but there is a small ventilator, too.
There is a nice long living room with kitchen where everything can be used if you like, e.g. big 3D smart tv with many (really, a lot!) movies and ps3 games to choose from, stereo, free wifi, and so on.... Also bathroom with shower (towels, and hairdryers), and toilet of course.
I also have a garden with terrace (some 6 meters wide and 30 meters deep), which you would love on sunny days. You can smoke here, but please, always lock the door of the garden when you come back inside, just like you always have to lock the door of the apartment, when you're in - or outside.
About check in, this is flexible but of course, depends on my working hours. So the idea is we discuss your time of arrival beforehand to let you in and give you the keys, which always has worked so far!
You can access everything in my apartment, like the living room, or the garden. But like I said before, always please lock the door of the garden when you are finished outside (I'll show you how).
Of course you can use my kitchen and everything in it, including the fridge.
For breakfast, help yourself, I'm sure you'll find something you like.
Also, the door of my apartment should always be locked with the key, both when you are inside, or outside.
The main outside door of the house shouldn't be locked with the keys (since it goes into the lock itself when it closes), you only need the key when you want to enter. I'll explain it when you are here :)
There are 3 student rooms upstairs in the hallway, so please, don't disturb them too much.
When you check out (before 14h), you can leave the keys in the mailbox outside (the left one, with my name on it), under my doorbell.
Oh, about my doorbell, it is very quite, so in case I don't hear you ring (which can happen if I'm in my garden for example), just call or send me a text on my phone.
Общение с гостями
Well, the only person you would live with (when I'm not working or other stuff) is me :-) I am mostly a Couchsurfer with quite some experience in the past, so I always will do my best to make you feel at home and I would love to make time to show you around, if you like, and get you to know our amazing city, and exchange local tips.
I'm the cheapest Airbnb of Gent (and even with breakfast!), so this proves I don't do it for the money for sure and more to give you a pleasant travelling experience, but of course, I still ask mutual respect :)
If I'm free and able, and if you are willing, I can go with you to the centre and show you around. And have a one or two of the best beer in the world ;-)
Другие важные подробности
I have a very cute cat (Alice), but she's an outdoor cat now and rarely comes inside. She gets fed enough, so please don't do it yourself, or even let her inside the house, I do that often enough.
I try to keep my apartment clean as possible, but because of it's white tiles floor, it's not always easy so I'd love if you help a bit, e.g. taking off dirty shoes when you enter and cleaning up if you spoil something.
If you smoke outside, don't throw away the cigarettes in the garden.
You can always smoke in the garden, but not inside.
Always a helping hand. In a past, I welcomed many Couchsurfers to my old place, and I always want to make you feel at home, and give you tips about the awesome city of Gent! ;)
