Featuring a large private bedroom away from street with a large closet, on the opposite side of the house from the other bedroom. There's a shared bathroom upstairs and a half bath downstairs too. Located near amazing public transit with 13 bus and 3 train lines, Capital Bikeshare, Enterprise Car Sharing in the back alley and close access to highways and free street parking. The grocery store is 200 ft. away which is helpful to take advantage of the full kitchen and relaxing backyard patio.
Originally built in 1900, this 2008-renovated shotgun-style DC Rowhouse has a modern open floor plan with historical notes. There's multiple sun lights throughout the house and a welcoming, enclosed back patio with privacy fences and lots of light. The bedrooms are on opposing sides of the house so you'll have your space to yourself if you'd like it, and there's copious closet space available in the room with hangers. There's a shared full bathroom with a tub in the middle of the upstairs floor and a half bath downstairs.
You'll have full access to the common space of the house -- including the kitchen, patio, living room with TV -- which has a Chromecast, DVD, VHS and Roku -- with Netflix, Amazon Prime and Hulu Plus access.
Feel free to use the kitchen to cook! There's pots, pans, plates, utensils, a full gas stove and oven, microwave, coffee maker, mixer, 2 blenders, dishwasher, a Spiralizer (!) -- and my new favorite tool, a moka pot for brewing espresso. You're also welcome to use the house spices, oils and condiments (so you don't have to buy a whole new pepper shaker, if you just want a pinch). If you'd like to use other food, please ask before taking just in case I'm planning on using something.

If you're bringing a car, please let me know ahead of time so I can get you a free parking pass for Ward 6. You can park without one, but you will likely need to move your car sometimes depending on what days/times you are parking. With the pass, you are just like a normal resident. It's much easier!
Also, I have a rescued greyhound who is very friendly and sweet. She's crated when I'm not home.
Please treat the house as you'd like yours to be treated. Or as you'd treat your 117-year-old grandmother (this house is 117 years old, so please be gentle with it!). Please be mindful of noise for the neighbors and residents that share walls (it's a Capitol Hill rowhouse), clean up after yourself and be respectful. Sorry, no smoking or drugs on or in the property; sensible drinking (for those of age) is allowed. If you can take your shoes off when you enter that would be appreciated!
С 23 декабрь 2017 - 25 декабрь 2017 минимальная продолжительность бронирования — 5 ночей.
I live in the house in the master bedroom, so I'm generally available to help answer questions and what not, but don't want to get in your way so I can keep to myself and generally stay busy with work and social activities.
The bedrooms are on opposite ends of the long Row House, with the shared full bathroom in between, so if you just want to come home and crash and not talk, that shouldn't be a problem.
Having said that, I'm also open to meeting interesting travellers and would sometimes be willing to hang out or play tour guide, if my schedule allows! :)
Professional computer nerd by day, DC and greater world explorer by weekend and night, I've currently traveled through 46 countries, 6 continents, all 50 U.S. states. I am constantly curious and interested in getting to know the true 'local' feel of a city, so AirBnB is really interesting to me. I've been in DC for more than 4 years and love it. Please let me know if you have any questions or if there's anything I can do to make your stay better!
