4 bedrooms and 2 baths. About 6 miles from the downtown center and about the same to the Opryland resort area. This trendy area of E. Nashville/Inglewood is best know for lunch at Mitchell’s deli in the Riverside Village.

Our story is a little unusual. We wear two fairly distinct hats. Our first hat looks more like the almost retired, middle aged couple in Nashville. We manage our vacation home rental business and rehab houses for resale, enjoy live music, local dining and travel. Zip - across country and put on the other hat. Mom, dad, grandma, grandpa and Neighbors Bar-B-Que. While the day to day operations of running the restaurant have been turned over to the daughter and son-in-law, there are still many other details that require our attention. In stark contrast to the urban lifestyle in Nashville, Cromberg, California has a sign that reads - “Population 140”. Our tiny little community in the mountains boasts some of the nicest smelling trees in the country, pretty lakes, my cute big red barn in the back yard, and a great little local restaurant that serves up some great southern style comfort food.
Back in 2006 when we first started the vacation home rental idea in Nashville, this whole concept was in its infancy. Only a handful of folks pioneered the trend that has continued to grow. We took the idea from our experience as innkeepers in Cromberg. We sold our housekeeping cottage resort and didn’t want to completely give up the contact with travelers. I wanted to create a real place for short term visitors to feel like they were participating in a neighborhood, thus able to connect better with the real folks who make up the community. The concept caught on and Nashville has become a top travel destination.
