Lisa's home is in a nice, quiet residential neighborhood but close to everything. Within a five minute drive, we visited coffee shops, grocery stores, restaurants, etc. We spent time at the South Carolina Aquarium and shopped and dined on King Street in historic downtown Charleston, which was an easy 10 to 12 minute drive. Folly Beach was also within 20 minutes and we got to enjoy the pier, the gorgeous views, the sea creatures in the tide pools, and everyone we met was so friendly. The house description was very accurate and we were pleased that it was clean. Lisa's home is well decorated. We loved the hardwood floors and we had more than enough space for our party of 5. We sipped coffee in the Florida room while watching butterflies, birds and squirrels in the backyard. We saw families taking advantage of the bike path just behind the house. There is a nice collection of books in this room which, unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy. The kitchen was well equipped and had updated appliances and everything we needed to make a family meal which we got to enjoy all together at the large dining table. Although we didn't use them, there is a dishwasher and laundry facilities. The living area was great for relaxing because of the comfortable couches and large flat screen tv. It was great to have a tv in each bedroom also. The bathroom was small but very clean. The water pressure was good, we had plenty of hot water and the shower head was nice and high for tall people. The beds were comfortable for most of us but my husband said he prefers a more firm mattress. We had more than enough sheets, blankets, pillows and towels and they were wonderfully soft. The owners made this last minute trip so easy with their good communication and simple rental process. They were even kind enough to decorate the house for our Christmas holiday getaway. We would highly recommend Lisa's house to our friends and family.
