This is a complete apartment with generously sized rooms, which were the original Parlor and Dining room of an Eastlake Victorian house, built in 1897. There is a private entrance to this 1st floor apartment, and plenty of sun filled garden areas. As was typical of the era, the ceilings are 11 feet high and there are huge south facing windows in each room allowing plenty of natural light to warm the place all day.
The living/dining room has ample seating, a decorative fireplace, table for up to six people, and is beautifully decorated with a combination of vintage and eclectic furnishings.
The bedroom has a firm queen sized bed with comfy cotton bedding, a sitting area, vintage dresser and closet for storing your belongings.
The kitchen has a fabulous Wedgewood stove, plus some modern conveniences like a good sized microwave, toaster, blender, and all the dishware, utensils, pots, and pans you may need to prepare a gourmet meal for family and friends.
In the bath room you will find an original claw foot tub with a shower and circular curtain. The wooden cabinetry and tile counter offers plenty of space for your toiletries. In addition to fresh bath linens, there is a hair dryer, shampoo, and soaps for your use.
There is a private yard space with outdoor seating, and a beautiful rose garden. You have access to a laundry room on the second floor.
For long term guests there is secure mail service.

There is a lock box with keys near the door. I may be able to meet you, but everything is self explanatory. I am always available via phone, text, or email. You may have as much privacy as desired.

There is a train station 6 blocks away from the house. The passing trains do whistle from time to time. A very few number of guests have commented that the train whistle bothered them.
There are two schools within two blocks of the house. There is some school yard activity around the lunch hour.
The street parking fills up during weekday school hours. (8-4)
Be sure to check the posted street cleaning day which is once a month to avoid getting an expensive ticket.
There are 4 other apartments in this house. They are well separated and insulated, but please be respectful and keep night time noise levels down.
There is ample street parking right in front of the building on Addison St. The off street parking spot closest to the house is reserved for a permanent tenant. If you cannot find a street spot right in front of the building, you may park in one of the two off street spots shared by units 1, 2, and 4. (If available)
Please conserve utilities, and recycle when possible. Separate waste receptacles are provided.
The large garbage cans are emptied on Friday mornings at the curb.
While I do not reside on the premises, I am always available by text or airbnb message to assist in what ever you may need to make your stay pleasant.
