This beach house caters for up to 8 people with 2 bedrooms each containing 4 bunk beds. Centrally located a 2 minute walk to Lake Victoria, Bakery and Community House (1st Sunday of month Market) and 90 Mile Surf Beach is 18 min walk or 2 min drive.
Loch Sport is a 3 hours from Melbourne via the M1 “Loch Sport is where magic happens”. The area is 10 degrees warmer than Melbourne in winter and 10 degrees cooler in summer.
It is a fisherman/boating town and has 2 boat ramps. Lake's main catch is Gippsland Bream (big bream), Flatties, Whiting, Mullet, Salmon and Tailor. Gummy Sharks, Salmon Mullet, Flatties and Tailor are other common species off the surf. Every now and then, some lucky fishermen land Mulloway, Snapper and even Tuna off this famous fishing beach.
Anglers and surfers are prevalent along the surf beach and along with family vacationers during the summer.
Loch Sport also offers a Marina, RSL, café, pizza shop, supermarket, 18 hole golf course, tennis courts, public picnic areas with BBQs and children’s playground and a Nursery. The Loch Sport Link has a Calendar of Events – see (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN).
The National Park is a 5 minute drive with numerous bushwalking and cycling tracks. Its 2300 hectares of coastal flora and fauna where you can witness the most beautiful wildlife in Australia including Sea eagles, Kangaroos, Wallabies, Emus, Koalas and rare Australian Orchid. The Lakes National Park is a peaceful bushland retreat in the Gippsland Lakes, fringed by the waters of Lake Victoria and Lake Reeve. The park includes Sperm Whale Head peninsula (4WD) and Rotamah and Little Rotamah islands. Rotamah Island, accessible only by boat, is a naturalists' bushland delight. Surrounded by Lake Victoria and Lake Reeve to the north and the dunes of the Ninety Mile Beach to the south, the island has clearly defined tracks offering exceptional views and bird watching opportunities.
