My 16 year old son and I decided to take a road trip from New Jersey to Washington DC at the last minute, to see some sites and museum and to have some fun father/son time together. As big baseball fans, we also figured we'd catch a game at Nationals Stadium, to which we had never been. My other son just started college, and my wife was happy to have the weekend to herself! We decided to drive down, and also bring our bikes, so we can ride around the town, and to and from wherever we stayed. Heather's place ended up being in the perfect location, directly between the museum/mall area and the baseball stadium, and easy, safe bike rides to and from both. The house has several rooms for multiple guests, and a spacious, lovely shared living room, dining area and kitchen. As it happens, it was empty except for us, so we had the house to ourselves! It seemed as though it would be fine sharing it with others, as well. Heather was very helpful in the days leading up to the trip, offering advise on places to visit or shop, and offering to arrange for a parking permit for our car. As it turns out, she had extra space in a private garage, and let us keep our car and bicycles in there. She was away, so we didn't get to actually meet her, but she was very responsive and attentive, even leaving us contact information for local people we can contact if we needed any assistance, which we did not. The beds were comfortable and the air-conditioning worked well. I recommend her place, and would return there again on another trip to DC, maybe with my whole family next time!
