I wish you would have expressed your concerns upon your arrival so I could handle them promptly and make your stay enjoyable. I had contacted you during your stay, and I wish you would have mentioned any of these issues. In my welcome email, I mention that I provide some breakfast items for your enjoyment...which includes some items in the refrigerator. I am sorry you thought they were from previous guests. I do apologize for not checking under the beds, I usually do but will have to remember to check drawers ( not that I expect guests to hide dirty towels in them!)
The sofa set is a temporary replacement from my mom because the sleeper sofa had become broken. I will definitely will be replacing, but would have been happy to put a sheet or cover of sorts for the time. The rug is actually new but I have noticed it's threads "pill" making it look like crumbs, etc. There is a second door off the basement steps that can be used to exit through the garage if need-be; and the 'rail" to the left was just recently added to keep young ones from an open stairwell...the actual handrail is on the right and very secure.
I would love to find a way to remodel the stairwell to the upper level and welcome ideas! I would have been happy to bring over a fan to help had you asked.
The few times that I have been contacted by guests, I am quick to respond. Additionally, each year, I continue to make improvements. I recently replaced the kitchen countertops since one became damaged. This winter I will have the hardwood floors refinished. I welcome suggestions to create an enjoyable experience for my guests!
