A beautiful little simple cozy cabin build in 1915, room for 7 maybe 9 if small kids.. 3 min drive to Hommersåk docks where you can take a small ferry to Stavanger daily. Close to hike Vårlivarden where you can get an amazing views over Rogaland, amongst many hikes.
The small cabin has electricity, Room for 7 including 2 comfortable double sofa beds and 3 beds. There is also a lot of garden space to set 3-4 tents. Outdoor, Hikers, Mountain people, climbers, kids and animals love staying there maybe because it feels like your back in time in a fairytale. There is a small kitchen, access to bbq, a newer fridge, (no freezer), old stove with oven, works well, a small microwave, natural rain water system works if there are few people. We will leave water container for you, there is no plumbing, there is a solar shower in summer time that can be filled up and used, if not there is a spring and ocean to bathe in not far from the cabin. Note this is a place to be more connected to nature for sure.. but definitely worth the stay. There is an old fashioned traditional outdoor toilet but we keep it clean. The livingroom area has an efficient fan heater with a fireplace, there is a full wood shack and we can supply wood if needed for an ekstra price, there us a open
fireplace outside with a nice sitting area when the weather allows it.
The Cabin is surrounded by oak trees (symbol of good luck and peace), giving a very peaceful being away feeling. Rich in nature. The oak tree forrest is amongst the few left in Norway. A great selection of mushrooms could be found and blue berrries in the late summer an fall.
The Cabin is very close to the Bersagel (Approx Bersagelveien 201), a country road, the parking is behind a gate, right below the cabin, all you need is to walk through a gate up some stairs to get to the cabin. We will explain in more detail but it is fairly simple.

Другие важные подробности
The cabin can be used year around. Hence of course the winter will be colder but it could be a good place to stay 2 hours from the ski areas or a weekend stop on a roadtrip. The oceans and fjords views in the area are breathtaking. A perfect get-away. Animals are welcome in the space, we have a dog that spends time in the space with us. Note it is a 100 year cabin so old wood and furniture should be expected, it is very clean though. The nature has its ways around it. If your a clean freak or paranoid of forest germs or mushroom, this cabin is not for you. The sofabeds are new, also the sheets and duvets/pilloes, we do wash them frequently.
We steamclean everything when needed.
There is an outdoor toilet.
We grew up using this cabin as kids, see it as a perfect close to nature immunity booster for them.
Outdoor types are a betty match.
NO SMOKING. Polka dancing is ok on the balcony not reccommended inside, you could knock down or break the decor or furniture:).This cabin has been in our family for over 100 years so just be careful. We are not very keen the cabin being a party rampage place to visit.
Much like any scout rules we expect things to be left as when you arrived. Cleaned up, sheets off beds towels in pile for me to wash, fireplace cleaned and ashes thrown out under the outhouse toilet, floors vacuumed cleaned, food out of fridge, keave it in a bag if not eaten, trash taken to the main bin
by the road.
The cleaning costs that are in the price go toiletpaper, paper towels, cleaning toilet compost, all other materials that keep the place hygenic and all other for washing sheets, cleaning products, floors and steamcleaning the place etc. Delivering water.
Use of wood and brikettes is additional
kr 80 cash per bag.
Additional people over 7 people is kr 100 per night. The cabin is small and it is tight with more people.
We expect you to be respectful and kind and it will be super simple and pleasant. Be careful and dont burn down the place :) . And yes we love animals and kids and you and they should enjoy the space. I want to point out I cannot guarantee or be responsible for your childs safety on the residence and wilderness. I know kids love it there but it is your responsability.
