We had a great few days at Roberto's house! He helped us arrange a private boat ($30 one way) from Puerto Barrios to the house. Upon arrival, we found the house to be clean and VERY well equipped. The house is pretty secluded, so bring your own food, which you can prepare in the nice and well stocked kitchen. There is a restaurant that the staff will drive you to ($20 round trip plus the cost of the driver's food), which has an incredible view and delicious seafood, along with a Christian mission camp right next door (1 minute walk along the beach), where you can eat their "meal of the day," as long as they know you are coming.
The staff on the property is extremely attentive and was available for anything we needed, including arranging a meal and a ride to a local hotel for dinner, walking us to a (very small) local market, and arranging boat service in and out of Puerto Barrios. The house has a hot tub (which served mostly as a pool due to water temp, but that was okay with us!) and a private beach with lounge chairs. We also enjoyed the outdoor shower!
Two things to note- The house had many small gnats flying around, which didn't affect us, but might bother some people. Also, there is no Wifi or phone so plan ahead if you need that amenity.
