As a family run lodge, you will find us pottering around in the mornings, late afternoons and evenings, happily assisting guests with any questions, keeping the onsens clean, stoking the fire place, snow clearing and generally maintaining a comfortable environment.
If it's a powder day, all bets are off though :) We'll see you out there!

You can walk 450 meters downhill to Akakura Onsen's closest chair lift.
We are also centrally located to three other resorts all within a 25 minute, free shuttle bus ride: Akakura Kanko, Seki Onsen and Suginohara.
Or why not take a bus trip to one of several famous resorts within an hour and a half, including Nozawa Onsen, Hukuba, Shiga Kogen and Madarao.
A daily continental breakfast is included free.
You can enjoy dinner out in the village or utilise our self catering kitchen.
Small convenience stores are walking distance within Akakura Onsen village or catch a 15 minute taxi ride to the small supermarket in the nearby town of Myoko Kogen to replenish your dinner grocery supplies.
Many of our guests will have come a long way to make the most of our famous powder snow and will appreciate a good nights' sleep.
So if you're in the mood to party beyond 11pm, we suggest you hit one of the bars in the village and try to be quiet upon your return.
Oh and if you want breakfast, you'll need to have eaten by 9am.
Respect of fellow guests and management is expected at all times.
No bad language or behaviour will be tolerated.
You are required to clean up after yourself in the kitchen and bathroom as these are shared facilities.
Onsen/bathroom use to be kept to reasonable times to allow other guests to use also.

I am a mum and love running my 3 short term holiday accommodation properties. Having lived here in Busselton for the last 17 years, I consider myself a local now. I have done plenty of travelling in my years with Japan for skiing and Thailand for food and culture being two of my favorite places.
