Breakfast provisions ($15 per person) are an option in this private, sunny, warm and spacious free-standing cottage in a rural setting with sea-views. With a queen bed in a split level bedroom, it is perfect for a couple (extra bed for child). You would cook your own breakfast in the kitchen in the Studio.
We are a vineyard in a 12-acre rural setting. We offer generous breakfast provisions at an additional $15 per person, and you would cook your own breakfast at your leisure in your accommodation. We have two cottages, both of which are free-standing, private, peaceful, spacious, sunny and warm. Both have lovely rural and sea views cottage looking across to Bruny Island. Both also have a wood fire and you will arrive to a cosy and warm cottage with the fire already lit on a chilly day.
The Studio is at the top of the property and has an open-plan bedroom up a step from the living area. You can lie in the queen bed after a peaceful sleep and admire the rural and bush setting from one window and the water-view from the others. While this cottage is best suited for a couple, a single bed can be set up for a child. This cottage is wheel-chair friendly.
The tariff is per couple sharing per night on a self-catering basis. As mentioned, for an additional cost, we will supply generous breakfast provisions, which includes a loaf of a fresh home-made bread. You can also enjoy one of our bottles of wine ($25 for the Pinot Noir and $20 for the Muller Thurgau) in front of the log fire. We also supply a range of reasonably-priced dinner provisions and snacks for you to cook up a storm, if you feel like eating at home.
While we welcome guests to wander around the property, we do ask that you respect our privacy, as well as the privacy of other guests. We all like to enjoy the peace and beauty of our lovely environment.

Другие важные подробности
During summer, there are Tiger snakes about so please wear closed shoes when walking about the property! There is also a small duck pond which is not enclosed, and a creek which borders the property, and guests with children should not allow them to wander about the property unaccompanied.
We ask that you respect others and that you keep noise to a minimum. Most of our guests stay here because of the peace and serenity, where they can hear bird song, rather than intrusive noise.
We do not allow pets.
The Studio is a non-smoking cottage and no smoking is allowed indoors. If you choose to smoke, please do so outside and away from others. Please ensure that your cigarettes are properly extinguished and put the butt in the OUTSIDE bin, not in the inside one. Please do NOT throw your butts in the garden.

We are the new owners of Herons Rise Vineyard Accommodation. Russel and Miriam both work as veterinarians, while Helen, Russel's mum, manages the accommodation. Russel and Miriam have two indoor only cats and many chooks, including heritage Araucana chooks that lay delicious blue-shelled eggs.
The vineyard has 30 year old Pinot Noir - we are looking forward to our first grape harvest, but it's taking a while because we're not using chemicals. We also have a flourishing vegetable garden and orchard and aim to keep all these as pesticide-free as possible. We have four beautiful ducks that are loving the new duck pond, as well as a working and several disease-free bee hives.
The bird life is abundant and the superb fairy wren a favourite frequent visitor. The plovers have nests with well camouflaged eggs in the vineyard - when these hatch, the parents let us know (very loudly!) when they think we are too close to their young. We also have lots of Tasmanian native hens (aka turbo chooks). Wallabies and red-bellied pademelons graze the paddocks at night...and Tasmanian Devils have been seen very close-by. We love the rural feel of Herons Rise Vineyard, as well as the views of the Channel and Bruny Island. And Hobart is an easy 30-minute drive away.
We all love the outdoors and travelling, and Tasmania is a fantastic place to do that - the air is clean and the colour of the water is sublime. The people are friendly and the fresh food culture is wonderful.
