Being an owner-occupied house, you will have full access to local knowledge that will allow you to see and experience all the things that are important to you during your visit to paradise.
While local knowledge and advise is complementary, for an appropriate but reasonable fee your host can provide guided tours of the island for part or all of your trip, host-prepared in-house meals or take-away with advance notice, laundry service, and airport transfers.
Our goal is to make your time in the islands as pleasant as possible. If there is something that you want or need, simply ask and we will do our best to make it happen.
Другие важные подробности
Makakilo is located at the base of the Wainnae Range just above Kapolei, Hawaii. It is on the island of O'ahu about 20 minutes from the Honolulu International Airport. It is close to world-class golf courses, classic surf breaks, little known snorkeling/dive spots, sport fishing charter boats, and uncrowded beaches.
And while you can avoid the crowded tourist locales, let's face it, some places are "touristy" just because they are such great places to visit in the first place. Staying in Makakilo affords you complete access to the entire island but our local knowledge will help you be able to take advantage of seeing all the sites while avoiding the crowds as well as experience parts of the island that are generally only found by those fortunate enough to live here.

I am an airline pilot based in Honolulu, Hawaii. Although my airline serves destinations in the United States, Asia, Australia, and Oceana, I generally fly to Sydney, Australia four trips a month and one trip to Tokyo, Japan every other month. This allows me to have a lot of time off work to travel, see family, or just hang out in the islands.
On my time off work, I enjoy traveling "off the beaten track" with little advance planning other than a general destination to start with. It is a great way to get to know the people and the experience the culture of other places.
My profile picture is of me and a couple of guys I met in the mountains of Indonesia as I was crossing an abandoned rail bridge perched over a river with terraced rice paddies. On the other side I walked through a little village where I was probably the first westerner seen by most of the kids there. It was truly a blast!
My first AirBnB experience was staying in a room in an owner-occupied apartment in Antofagasta, Chile. It was a great experience!
