Другие важные подробности
Please be advised that Pennan does not have reception and therefore mobile phones do not work once in the village. However, we have provided unlimited wireless internet at the property which can be used for all communication purposes as well as the landline in case of emergencies.
In the winter months Pennan may become inaccessible due to snow and bad weather conditions. We advise you to check the weather forecast before making your journey. Any last minute cancellations due to weather conditions will be fully refunded.
Please note there are some very steep staircases in the property and we do not take responsibility for any accidents this may cause. Please take extra care with young children and feel free to consult me should you have any concerns. If guests have any mobility issues then the house is unsuitable as there are no bedrooms on the bottom floor.
Thank you for choosing to stay with us. The house is a cosy little cottage on the coastal village of Pennan and I really do hope you enjoy your stay. It's a unique spot and home to the famous 'Local Hero' award-winning movie.
In order to preserve the magic of our little heaven I ask that you please treat it with care and respect. If anything is broken please do let me know and if there are any issues then please do email me back with any feedback.
When leaving the cottage after your stay kindly could you:
- make sure you leave the house as tidy as possible
- leave the key in the same location you found it in when you arrived
- I also ask that the phone be used only in emergencies and you will be billed should there be a bill exceeding £3.00.
- Smoking is strictly not allowed on the premises.
Additionally there are two very steep staircases on the premises which you will be required to use in order to access the bedrooms. The property is therefore strictly not appropriate for individuals with mobility issues. Children are more than welcome but you should take extra care when using the stairs and young persons should be supervised at all times. You are using these at your own peril and we cannot accept any responsibility should any accidents occur on the premises.
Should you need any more information please inbox me and I can clarify. Other than this the house is a comfy and cosy abode in a unique setting away from the hustle and bustle of daily life.
Hello! My name is Chiara.
Currently living in London and working as a secondary school English teacher, I am originally an Italian from Milan, and have been a resident in the Scottish Highlands since 2003, when my mother moved to England almost 15 years ago.
I am a great lover of nature and have a deep passion for travel and exploration. Having backpacked extensively, I have now decided to open our home to other like-minded explorers as a heaven away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, into the tranquility of Pennan's secluded charm. I hope (like myself) you will become a great lover of the Scottish coastline's culture, traditions, inescapably beautiful landscape and people by visiting us at Creel Cottage.
Any questions do drop me a message and I will endeavor to respond as soon as possible.
