Casa Puerta Azul is a charming village property, restored using traditional materials. The ground floor is open plan, and the upper floors have one large double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and terrace, and two other smaller bedrooms, one with 2 x single beds and the other a tiny double. There is a roof terrace with views out over the village and across the valley. This is a great house for a family wanting to be a part of a traditional Andalusian village, and still having the privacy of the private pool and sun-trap roof terrace. There are storage heaters for winter use, as well as a wood-burning stove for additional warmth, and a supply of wood.
The house is comfortable for 5 people, but a little tight for 6. For more information, please contact us for details of our web site!
Albuneulas is a quiet village at the end of the mountain road. Casa Puerta Azul is found in the Barrio Bajo (lower quarter) close to the orange groves and valley. The village has a bank, three bars, one restaurant, one supermarkets, pharmacy, doctor's surgery and a dentist, two churches and a small weekly market. The nearby town of Durcal has other shops and the major stores and Hypermarkets of Granada are close by. We have found the villagers to be very friendly but very few speak English and so you will have a very genuine experience of rural Spain!
Please note: The house is situated in the lower part of the village. There is a square nearby for parking, but most people prefer to park on the main street and walk down. A keyholder will meet you to show you the way.
Guests will have access to the whole house.
