Separate entrance. Walk to restaurants, library, CVS & more. 10-15 minutes to Yale, hospitals, train & downtown New Haven. Access to yard & parking. Environmentally conscious & quiet. Owner & housemates & pets live above. Cable hook-up & DVR. This space is NOT air conditioned.
Your space includes a large living room/bedroom space with queen size bed, desk, dining table and chairs, a lounge chair, an equipped kitchen, a full bath (shower, no tub), two closets, and 3 windows. The washer and dryer are on your level. You will have access to the large yard and off street parking. You control your own heat. There is NO air conditioning. There is wireless internet and "fully loaded" cable with record & watch anywhere DVR and large smart TV upstairs in shared living room (which is air conditioned). Fans and dehumidifier are available for the few hot muggy weeks of summer. Everything is clean!
You have access to the rest of the property including the living room with working fireplace and the yard, laundry, and off street parking. I often have housemates and 2 cats. It is quiet and an environmentally conscious household, conserving energy and water use as well as recycling.
Общение с гостями
I am social and if around (I work too much!) willing to share a glass of wine or a meal.
Другие важные подробности
If you are allergic to animals you will not want to hang out in the living room upstairs. We are a to bed early and rising early household, so we have assigned parking for logistical reasons and no blasting music/parties. But I do host a dinner party once in a while and if you are here during one, join us! Dogs or other pets may be possible.
Quite, clean, no smoking, environmentally conscious. Only short term for more than one guest.

A college professor who likes nature, photography, boating, hiking, gardening, cooking, animals and the cultural arts. The five things I can't live without are nature, good food, cultural arts, engaging job, and nonfiction (reading & writing). My favorite travel destinations: natural parks, Europe, friends' country houses. Books: enjoying The Goldfinch right now. Movies: The Philadelphia Story. Shows: classic drama. Music: BEATLES. Food: most, but on the healthy side.
My style of hosting is to go with the flow: if you want your privacy and to mostly be in your room, that is fine. If you want to cook together, hear about places to go out, or relax in the yard or in front of the fire watching a movie, all are fine by me (as long as I have gotten my work done!).
Motto? Hmm, how about LIVE, but responsibly.
